When building a new website it is important to test the responsive elements of your website design for different screen resolutions.
You can manually resize a web browser screen, but this is not the most accurate method.
To make your life a little easier, you can simply download and install the Window Resizer Chrome extension.
It is worth noting that you should also manually test your website on physical mobile and tablet devices if possible.
How to resize Google Chrome web browser
After installing the plugin, you will have a dropdown menu that contains all the common screen resolutions:
You can also set custom resolutions for ultra-widescreen monitor resolutions.
It is important that you fully test your website on a mobile device or tablet device if possible. Resizing the web browsers screen on your desktop computer or laptop is a good method to quickly find layout issues and fix them.
I would recommend creating a single page on your website first, then you can test on different resolutions and devices, and fix any issues found. You can then use the content from the home page as a guide for other pages which will result in fewer errors.
